New for 2021, the Burton Constable Trail 10K & Fun Run will fall at the end of what looks set to be the first week at the end of the government roadmap.

On the evening of Friday 25 June, this trail 10K and 3k Fun Run, will take in the picturesque Burton Constable grounds, including the lake and a finish in front of the impressive Hall, followed by live music and refreshments in the Courtyard Kitchen.  The event will be able to go ahead as either a covid secure or traditional race*.

Entries now open at 7pm on 30 April

All 10K participants will receive a race memento, voucher toward refreshments in the Courtyard Kitchen and have the option to buy an event T-shirt and/or donate to ‘preserve the parkland’ of Burton Constable. Fun runners will receive a medal and treat.

Event Details:

10K commences at 7:30pm preceded by the 3K fun run at 6:30pm. It is anticipated we will go ahead with mass starts but both events can proceed in a covid secure manner if this is required.

Route:

The 10K will take a route around the grounds starting & finishing in front of the Hall, taking in the stables building, looping the old airfield, passing the whale memorial and taking a figure of 8 loop of the lake before and second loop of the airfield section which includes a stunning tree lined avenue before finishing in front of the Hall.

The Fun Run will pass the stables, loop the old airfield to return through the tree avenue and around the Hall.

The route is around 75% trail paths on a flat surface.  

All 10K runners will receive a race momento, voucher to spend on refreshments in the courtyard kitchen, live music on the night, option to purchase an event T-shirt and to donate to ‘preserve the parkland’ of Burton Constable.

On the Night:

Access will be available from 5:30pm after the grounds close to day visitors with Race number collection from the Stables adjacent to the parking area.

Fun Run will set off at 6:30pm from in front of the Hall.

10K will set off at 7:30pm in front of the Hall

Live music and refreshments will be available up until 10pm

Approx 9pm – presentations

Participants can enjoy the external grounds during the event.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female runners and 1st and 2nd Under 21 and Vet 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75+ male and female categories for the 10K

There will also be prizes for the first three Under 16’s in the fun run.

Covid-19 and Refund Policy

In line with many major events, we do not allow refunds or deferrals. However, we do allow entry transfers.

In the event we have to cancel due to the coronavirus pandemic all entries will be transferred to a rearranged date. 

If you are asked to withdraw from the event by the organiser prior to race day due to a local or national lockdown related to covid-19 the organiser will issue a refund less any admin fees at their discretion. This does not apply if the participant withdraws of their own choice. 

Race information will be emailed out 1 week before the event. Race numbers will be collected on the night*

Please ensure you are familiar with arrangements in order that the event remains compliant with guidelines related to the covid-19 pandemic subject to the ongoing roadmap.  Further details will be issued with race packs by email.

*In the event a staggered start is required to enable a covid-secure event race numbers will be mailed out 7-10 days in advance and other arrangements may be adjusted.
