Look out for details of next year’s race, provisionally planned for Sunday 2 April 2023. On closed roads around the villages of Great Hatfield, Goxhill and Sigglesthorne, to the south west of Hornsea, runners can enjoy quiet country roads over the minor undulations of East Yorkshire. The course is certificated at 8.74 miles (one third of a marathon) with two drink stations and a fast finishing straight and chip timing.

Densholme Farm will be our hosts, with free parking available – check out their Facebook page. There will also be The Greek Treat on site and the neighbouring pub, The Wrygarth Inn, will be open early for teas and coffees and offers a carvery for those fancying that treat for crossing the line. (Bookings required).

All runners will receive a momento and 50p of each entry will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care. Additional donations can be made. We will also be making a donation to the Rotary Club of Hornsea.

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity. We provide frontline nursing and hospice care, a free support line and a wealth of information and support on all aspects of dying, death and bereavement.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female runners (£50, £25 and £15) and 1st Vet 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75+ male and female categories will each get £15. 1st Male Team and 1st female Team (3 runners to count) will get £30 between the team.
Road Closures Sunday 3 April 09:15 – 11:30
The following roads will be closed for the Hornsea Third Marathon on. These are closed for the safety of runners under a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO with the East Ridding of Yorkshire Council.) Times in brackets are expected reopening for that section.

Previous Results
Covid-19 and Refund Policy
In line with many major events, we do not allow refunds or deferrals. However, we do allow entry transfers.
In the event we have to cancel due to the coronavirus pandemic all entries will be transferred to a rearranged date.
If you are asked to withdraw from the event by the organiser prior to race day due to a local or national lockdown related to covid-19 the organiser will issue a refund less any admin fees at their discretion. This does not apply if the participant withdraws of their own choice.
Race information will be emailed in the week before the event. Race numbers will be collected on the day
Please ensure you are familiar with arrangements in order that the event remains compliant with guidelines related to the covid-19 pandemic. Further details will be issued with race packs by email.
